New RTA Rules on Serving Tenants Notice for Personal Use of Property **Updated August 3rd, 2024**. The notice period required when serving a Notice to End Tenancy for Personal Occupancy when it is for the purpose of a purchaser requesting that a seller serve the notice has been reduced from a 4 month notice to a 3 month period, and the amount of time that tenants have to dispute a 3 month notice has been reduced from 30 days to 21 days.
